Berry quarterback Dale Jackson was named Southern Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week while Berry placekicker Campbell Harrison was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
Jackson engineered an offensive explosion as the Vikings defeated Hendrix, 46-24. He tossed five touchdowns and had no interceptions in the win, completing 24-of-35 (68.6 percent) passes for 243 yards. The quarterback also rushed 10 times for 46 yards in Berry’s first victory over a conference opponent.
Harrison was a perfect 8-of- 8 on kicks, making all five extra points and all three field goals as the Vikings exploded for a 46-24 win over Hendrix. He tallied 14 points in all on the afternoon.
