The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History will raise money during its Nov. 8 annual gala for a program that helps teachers at Title I schools in Cobb County teach the Civil War.
The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History is hosting its annual fundraising gala this November, and attendees have an opportunity to sample fare from local restaurants while supporting the educational mission of the museum.
On the one-year anniversary of the Civil War, they dared to sneak miles behind enemy lines and steal a locomotive. Their mission: Destroy the Western & Atlantic Railroad between Atlanta and Chattanooga.
The eighth annual iteration of the Trains, Trains, Trains event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both Saturday, Jan. 27, and Sunday, Jan. 28.
The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History will display items from National Postal Museum (NPM) in Washington D.C., a Smithsonian Institution.
