CHICAGO – Berry College sophomore defensive back, Malcholm Graham’s diving-grab interception on Oct. 4 is nominated for the GEICO Play of the Year, Intersport announced today. Each week, fans vote for the GEICO Play of the Year and the winner will be announced during GEICO‘s Best of College Football 2014 on CBS Nov. 28.
In addition to recognizing the season’s top plays, the one-hour CBS special relives the football season’s greatest moments, players and traditions. The show also marks the culmination of the GEICO “Best of 2014” Football Tour, an interactive fan experience that visits 30 marquee games throughout the season.
Each week for five weeks, four incredible college football plays will be nominated as the Play of the Year on the GEICO Best of College Football Facebook page. The five weekly winners will then faceoff in a week of finals voting from November 3 through 10 to determine the 2014 GEICO Play of the Year.
In their game against Washington U. on Oct. 4, Malcholm Graham made a diving grab of an interception in Berry territory with a minute left in the fourth quarter to help send the game into overtime on the 100th Mountain Day at Berry College. Graham’s diving-grab interception is competing against three other plays from week three, Texas Lutheran’s Jordan Sims’intercepted 95-yard touchdown run, a behind-the-back intercepted 60-yard touchdown run by Salve Regina’s Matt Conroyand a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown run by Ithaca’s Ryan Michaels.
