Smyrna mayor: StillFire Brewing construction to start in September

SMYRNA, Georgia — A new brewery in the Atlanta suburb of Smyrna will soon start construction and is slated to open next year.

“And I’m pleased to report that after several bumps in the road over the past two and a half years, StillFire will finally begin construction in September at the Atlanta Road site next to the new park,” Smyrna Mayor Derek Norton said during his State of the City on Wednesday. “Their target opening, as they said in [a] meeting yesterday, is football season, so fall of 2025. It’s been a long, long wait, but I think one that will be worth it.”

The timeline meshes with what StillFire Brewing officials said earlier this year. In May, brewery officials said they have secured financing commitments and are finalizing contracts. Construction should start “in the coming months.”

The updated timeline follows previously announced opening dates.
