Curaçao

One of the draws of Curaçao is the island’s deep history. The downtown area is home to several statues of famous Curaçao residents who played in a pivotal role in the country’s history.

When visitors look to visit Curaçao today, they don’t need to worry about the availability of water on the island. However, turn back the clock to the early and middle years of the 20th century, and water was a more precious resource.

Of all the sites to see and do in this lovely paradise getaway, one of my favorites is in the heart of Willemstad.
