Curaçao airport increasing fee for departing passengers

The island of Curaçao is increasing its fee for passengers departing the island.

The airport tax is increasing for both departing and transferring passengers as of next year.

Starting January 1, the fee for passengers flying to international destinations increases to $42, up from $39. The cost for passengers traveling to Bonaire increases to $15 from $10 and to $30 from $20 for passengers traveling to Aruba and St. Maarten.

Passengers transferring through Curaçao will pay a $10 airport tax, up from $5. The fee does not apply to children two years old or younger.

The tax is included in the price by KLM, TUI fly, American Airlines, United Airlines, Air Canada, WestJet, Copa Airlines, Avianca, Copa Airlines and Divi Divi Air tickets.
