Aotearoa has an incredible way of surprising and inspiring. Every turn seems to lead to a more stunning vista. And, a trip over the Otago Central Railway aptly proves this.
It’s a mix of the city’s culture, its history and its feeling of remoteness that make Auckland unique. It seems like many people who come to New Zealand make a beeline for the remote hiking tracks. Worthy as they are, don’t sleep on Auckland.
With each snap of the shutter, I convinced myself we just encountered the most beautiful vista. But we were proven continuously wrong. I would say disappointed, but nothing was disappointing about the drive.
There is something inherently hopeful about the largest city on New Zealand’s South Island. The city today is a vibrant community, full of interesting attractions.
Florence is one of those cities you could spend a month exploring and still not see everything. That said if you only have a few days to see the city, there are a few places to hit that will give a great sense of the city and its grand history.
Auckland is the largest city in the country and a major center of international business, but in some ways seems like a less well-known destination than other cities of its size and caliber.
