Officials here are expected to soon unveil a monument commemorating Fanny Williams, a community activist whose legacy was reexamined after the city tore down a historic structure that bore her name.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia has settled with the Cobb County Board of Elections, resolving a multi-year compliance review identifying physical barriers at many polling sites. 

The Smyrna Fire Department answered the call, claiming victory over the Smyrna Police Department in the Battle of the Badges softball game.

The Smyrna Public Safety Foundation will host a car show and a softball game as part of a free, family-friendly community event to support Smyrna’s first responders.
