This is the most-surveilled city in the United States

Atlanta may be too busy to hate, but it’s not too busy to watch.

The city is the most-surveilled city per capita in the United States, according to a new analysis. The study from Comparitech found 15.56 “CCTV” cameras per 1,000 people.

The top five most surveilled cities in the world are in China. Chinese cities took eight of the top 10 spots.

London ranked No. 6.

The top-ranking cities in the United States, according to the analysis, are:

  1. Atlanta
  2. Chicago
  3. Washington, D.C.
  4. San Francisco
  5. San Diego
  6. Boston
  7. New York
  8. Miami
  9. Detroit
  10. Houston
  11. Philadelphia
  12. Dallas
  13. Los Angeles

Outside the United States, Auckland, New Zealand, ranked No. 35, while Paris, France, ranked No. 39 and Rome, Italy, ranked No. 50.
