From an architectural standpoint, the birthplace of the Renaissance is home to countless splendid structures. Every corner offers another building that baffles the imagination and leaves travelers awestruck. How is it that people live in a city like this and do not walk around every day marveling at the buildings that rise above them?
Perhaps it was Charles Dickens who said it best when he said: “Let us look back on Florence while we may, and when its shining Dome is seen no more, go travelling through cheerful Tuscany, with a bright remembrance of it; for Italy will be the fairer for the recollection.”
