During the 2023 Legislative Session, Georgia Sen. Jason Anavitarte, R-Dallas, introduced the Georgia Cyber Command Act as Senate Bill 97.
The Georgia Senate passed the measure, know as the Georgia Cyber Command Act with bipartisan support, but the Georgia House of Representatives did not consider it for a vote before the end of the 2023 session.
Anavitarte is the chairman of the Senate Study Committee on the Creation of a Georgia Cybersecurity Force and also authored legislation to ban CCP malware applications like TikTok on state government networks.
