New Zealand Police managing protest in central Auckland

A police operation is underway in Auckland to manage an anti-Israeli protest in the central part of the city.

Protesters began gathering in the CBD this morning and are expected to march from Aotea Square down Queen Street to Victoria Park. Police have staff deployed along the route and are advising the public to expect delays.

The march was originally expected to cross the Auckland Harbour Bridge, but organizers changed their plans following predictions of high wind.

Commuters are encouraged to use the Auckland Transit Mobile App or the Auckland Transit Journey Planner for updates on bus service changes.
