Bus tour highlights history of the Western & Atlantic Railroad

KENNESAW, Georgia — Todd DeFeo, founder of The DeFeo Groupe and the publisher/editor of Railfanning.org, will lead a bus tour of the historic Western & Atlantic Railroad on Saturday, April 2.

The tour, which begins at Kennesaw’s Southern Museum, will highlight the line’s unique history and showcase many places where famous events transpired. DeFeo has written several railroad histories, including a 2019 book about the Western & Atlantic. During the bus tour, DeFeo will unveil a new guide to driving the railroad’s route.

Joe and June Bozeman and Jimmy John’s are sponsoring the tour, which kicks off the Southern Museum’s 50th anniversary celebration.

ATLANTA – More than 80,000 people are expected to turn out Saturday for the 131st Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade.
