Five vying for Smyrna city council seat

Five candidates are vying for an open Smyrna City Council seat.

Maryline Blackburn, Jeff Carter, Travis Lindley, Marshall A Moon and Adam P. Taylor all qualified for the Nov. 7 election.

The winner replaces Teri Anulewicz, who resigned last month to run for the open state House, District 42 seat as a Democrat. Stacey Evans, D-Smyrna, vacated the seat to run for governor.

Anulewicz, who was elected to the city council in 2007, is running unopposed.
