Denison advances to 4-1 for first time since 1986 with win over DePauw

Brandon Sklenar threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns as Denison University knocked off DePauw University, 42-21 at Deeds-Piper Stadium. Sklenar also rushed for a pair of touchdowns in the win.

DePauw (0-4) jumped out to a 14-7 first quarter lead, but the Denison Big Red (4-1) turned the tables with a 21-point  third quarter. DuShawn Brown was Sklenar’s favorite target on the afternoon, hauling in four passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Saturday’s matchup, during Denison’s annual Big Red Weekend, marked the seventh contest between the schools; Denison holds a 5-2 advantage in head-to-head match-ups against the Tigers. Denison improved to 4-1 for the first time since 1986.
