Places like Hiroshima are in the history books for one reason. Traveling to places that made history isn’t always a joyous occasion. But, I’ve found, that traveling to places like Hiroshima makes for a more meaningful experience.

It was a typical Sunday morning in Hawaii. But just before 8 a.m. 69 years ago, the serene morning quickly turned hellish.

The aroma was quite apparent from the moment I stepped off the subway. With each step, the smell of fresh fish grew stronger.
