Places like Hiroshima are in the history books for one reason. Traveling to places that made history isn’t always a joyous occasion. But, I’ve found, that traveling to places like Hiroshima makes for a more meaningful experience.
More than 75 percent of people who responded to a new survey of Kayak.com said they plan to travel this Christmas season, and 42 percent said they are planning to take a second winter trip between January and March.
Fewer people will travel this Christmas with about 63.9 million Americans going 50 miles or more from home during the Christmas holiday, according to AAA.
In honor of the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, the nation’s capital is planning to honor the 16th president of the U.S. with a four-month-long bash titled “Living the Legacy: Lincoln in Washington, D.C.”
Georgia’s newest city, Dunwoody, officially began its operations today. The day was marked by a special midnight session of the city council in which a ceremonial ribbon cutting honored the occasion.
