Georgia touts its business-friendly climate, but some home-based businesses face another layer of bureaucracy: local government licensing requirements, a Center Square analysis found.
The federal government continues to dole out money for Georgia transportation projects, whether it’s $25 million for road upgrades and bike lanes in Athens or $25 million to upgrade the Five Points transit station in Atlanta.
The Georgia Department of Transportation awarded more than $150.6 million to 22 projects statewide in July, the first month of the state’s 2023 fiscal year.
