On February 14, 2022, Smyrna, Georgia’s Mayor Derek Norton announced the appointment of the Committee to Honor Fanny Williams. The committee’s goal is to identify and recommend appropriate memorials and activities to honor Fanny Williams.
In August 2022, the Committee to Honor Fanny Williams collectively agreed to move forward with a Request for Qualifications for the Fanny Williams Legacy Project (“Project”), approved an official Mission Statement, and the RFQ Judges Panel.
