I asked the questions the parent of any eight-day-old who died in the NICU would have asked. If the hospital and its leaders are offended by that, they should take a hard look at themselves in the mirror and assess whether their chosen profession is the right one for them.

And while I am an advocate for living life and enjoying all that is has to offer, going on vacation shouldn’t become a free for all to throw in the towel when it comes to health and fitness.

In 2015 alone, 1,427 Georgians died in automobile accidents. Even more disturbing is the fact that traffic fatalities have increased in our state over the past nine years. These are shocking statistics, but we can preserve the lives of thousands of Georgians by studying the challenges associated with distract driving and crafting comprehensive legislation to keep our roads safe.
