The Friends of Smyrna Library has named three retired board directors — Dr. William Marchione, Mary Ann Marchione and Ellie Wolf — as Board Emeritus members, recognizing years of service to the organization.
Dr. Marchione has served on the board since 2011, contributing what the group described as extensive historical knowledge and leadership, including two years as board president. Mary Ann Marchione joined the board in 2017 and continues to serve on the Exhibits Committee for the library’s upstairs art gallery.
Wolf has been on the board since 2015 and previously served as co-chair of the Membership Committee.
The Friends said the Board Emeritus designation honors the trio’s dedication and volunteer service to the library and the Smyrna community.
