Georgia’s net tax collections in November approached $2.4 billion, an increase of 2.3%, or $52.9 million, compared to fiscal 2024, when they surpassed $2.3 billion for the month.

Net tax revenue collections totaled more than $13 billion for the year, a decrease of 0.1%, or $8.3 million, from November 2023.

The 2023 motor fuel tax suspension affected year-to-year comparisons. Net of motor fuel tax changes, November revenues were down 3.4% from the same month last year, while year-to-date collections were down 2.2%. The hurricane-related income tax filing and payment deadline extensions announced on Oct. 3 also negatively impacted November net collections.

Return and payment deadlines for both individual and corporate income taxes, from that date through April 2025, were extended to May 1, 2025, likely reducing collections of both individual and corporate income taxes except for payroll withholding collections.
