Georgia railroad museum hosting typewriter event on Jan. 25

DULUTH, Ga. — The Southeastern Railway Museum is hosting typewriter enthusiasts from across the region during a special event later this month.

Members of the Antique Typewriter Club will host their annual meet-up on Jan. 25 at the museum in Duluth. The club will be displaying unique and unusual typewriters used, including rare, antique and custom machines.

Attendees are welcome to bring typewriters as typewriter experts will be on hand all day to answer questions and help repair typewriters.

The event is open to the public with paid admission.

Museum admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 and older and $7 for children between the ages of two and 12 years old. Rides on the museum’s historic train are $3 person; a combo ticket (including a ride on the historic train and the park train) is available for $5.
