Gould wins Smyrna City Council Ward 6 seat

Smyrna voters picked Tim Gould for the open Ward 6 seat.

Gould won Tuesday’s runoff with 60.4 percent of the vote, defeating Idella Moore.

Moore topped the crowded field of five candidates in May, picking 28.8 percent of the vote. Gould came in second with 24.5 percent of votes.

Gould succeeds Doug Stoner, who stepped down in February to run for the state’s Public Service Commission.
