The special agent in charge of the FBI’s Atlanta Division will participate in this week’s “State of Public Safety.”
J. Britt Johnson, a Georgia native, was appointed to the post in March 2014. Atlanta Police Chief George Turner and Atlanta Police Foundation President Dave Wilkinson will also also participate in the panel.
The forum will be held during the Buckhead Business Association’s Signature Luncheon. The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 18 at 103 West.
“This is a timely topic of discussion, particularly given recent events across the United States and the globe,” said David Coxon, president of Georgia Primary Bank and 2016 BBA president. “We live in uncertain times, and our public safety leaders are doing everything in their power to serve and protect the community. This forum will no doubt be informative and insightful and gives us an opportunity to hear directly from those charged with keeping the community safe.”
During the event, the BBA will also bestow its annual Public Safety Awards to members of the Atlanta Police Department (Zone 2), Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Atlanta Fire Rescue Department.
