Cobb County faces lawsuit over pedestrian bridge

SMYRNA, Ga. — Cobb County faces a lawsuit over a bridge that is to connect the new Atlanta Braves stadium with the Cobb Galleria, according to reports.

The county secured two plots of land for the $10 million bridge by using eminent domain. However, land owners are fighting back, saying they were not property compensated, according to a report from WABE-FM.

A Cobb County judge is schedule to hear the matter on Aug. 25, the Marietta Daily Journal reported. Construction on the bridge has already started, even though the case has not been adjudicated.
