ATLANTA — The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View offers perhaps the best view of Atlanta.
The restaurant sits atop the 73-story Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel and has been spinning guests since it opened in 1978. The Westin was the tallest building in Atlanta until 1987; it is today the fifth-tallest building in Atlanta and the tallest hotel in the Southeast.

Five new restaurants have joined the roster for September’s Taste of Buckhead, an event that allows attendees to taste dishes from some of Buckhead’s premier restaurants and sample more than 50 wines, beers and spirits.
ATLANTA – A rare snowstorm walloped the Southeast Friday, dumping upwards of five inches of snow. A number of businesses closed early and various events – especially at public schools – were canceled because of the weather.
