The world’s tallest roller-coaster and entertainment complex is expected to be open in Orlando by 2016. The Skyscraper at SKYPLEX is planned to be built at International Drive and Sand Lake Road, near the soon-to-open Orlando Eye 425-foot ferris wheel.

The number of U.S. travelers expecting to fly this year is on the rise, as 93 percent intend to take a domestic flight at least once in 2014, up from 89 percent who said they flew domestically last year.

Southern Museum to Host Second Annual Railroad Rendezvous on July 26

The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History will celebrate railroads and their unique history during the second annual Railroad Rendezvous this July. Nearly half (46 percent) of summer travelers haven’t booked their summer vacation, according to a new survey. The survey, from Airfarewatchdog, also revealed 38 percent of travelers have fully booked their vacation while 15 percent have booked a portion of their vacation.
