World’s tallest roller-coaster and entertainment complex to open in Orlando in 2016

The world’s tallest roller-coaster and entertainment complex is expected to be open in Orlando by 2016. The Skyscraper at SKYPLEX is planned to be built at International Drive and Sand Lake Road, near the soon-to-open Orlando Eye 425-foot ferris wheel.

The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History will celebrate railroads and their unique history during the second annual Railroad Rendezvous this July. The family-friendly event, scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on July 26, will feature a range of indoor and outdoor events, including operating model train layouts, a variety of games and a hobo jungle.

Nearly half (46 percent) of summer travelers haven’t booked their summer vacation, according to a new survey. The survey, from Airfarewatchdog, also revealed 38 percent of travelers have fully booked their vacation while 15 percent have booked a portion of their vacation.
