Georgia Aquarium introduces rare albino alligators

ATLANTA – A pair of rare albino American alligators have joined the Georgia Aquarium’s Southern Company River Scout gallery. There are less than 50 albino American alligators living in the United States, according to aquarium officials, and they typically only survive only 24 hours in the wild. Wreck on Interstate 20 closes highway

ATLANTA – A wreck on Interstate 20 west of Atlanta late Saturday night shut down the highway’s westbound lanes. The wreck also caused delays on southbound lanes of Interstate 285 near its interchange with the east-west road. The backup on both roads appeared to be causing other problems. “There were lots of other little wrecks” possibly resulting from the backup, one witness said. News/Talk 750 WSB reported the wreck involved a motorcycle and was fatal.

MARTA renames ‘Yellow’ line to avoid ‘racially insensitive’ perceptions

DECATUR — MARTA announced that it is changing the name of one of its lines to avoid any perceived “racially insensitive” overtones by the Asian community it serves. Snowstorm strikes Atlanta, Southeast

ATLANTA – A rare snowstorm walloped the Southeast Friday, dumping upwards of five inches of snow.
