Merlin Entertainments on Wednesday announced plans to build the $12 million Legoland Discovery Center (LDC) in Phipps Plaza.

Passenger traffic at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport increased by 1.51 percent in 2010, and the airport retained its title as the “busiest passenger airport in the world.”

Metro Atlanta and much of North Georgia experienced the first white Christmas in nearly 130 years with more than an inch of snow accumulating throughout the area, according to the National Weather Service.
