Atlanta airport power outage leads to delays, cancellations

A power outage in Concourse B of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Monday led to a number of canceled and delayed flights, according to published reports. The outage, which was reported by about 5 a.m. Monday, was resolved by about noon. According to a report on CNN’s website, Delta Air Lines cancelled about two dozen flights Monday morning. Federal money for streetcars formally presented

(Photo by Todd DeFeo) ATLANTA — Federal officials on Wednesday formally presented the city of Atlanta with $47.6 million to build a streetcar line. “The Atlanta streetcar project is a prime example of the kind of innovative, 21st century projects that will change the U.S. transportation landscape by strengthening the economy and creating jobs, reducing gridlock and providing safe, affordable and environmentally sustainable transportation choices,” U.S. Transportation Secretary LaHood said in a news release.

Officials decide to extend Ga. 400 toll
