The Georgia Hemp Farming Act, which places public safety restrictions on hemp products manufactured and sold in Georgia, took effect this week.

Last week, the Georgia Senate granted final passage to Senate Bill 10, which introduces measures to establish an offense for knowingly attending and facilitating illegal drag races and to heighten penalties for reckless driving.

The Georgia House has passed a measure prohibiting the purchase of agricultural land in Georgia by a person who is not a U.S. citizen or legal resident or an agent of a foreign government designated as a foreign adversary.
