Jaanchies Restaurant

Overview

Jaanchie’s Restaurant is a family-operated restaurant in Sabana Westpunt, Curaçao. The open-air, colonial-style wooden building was constructed in 1936 by Jaanchie as a family establishment. Three generations of the family have operated the restaurant, which has become a longstanding dining destination in Westpunt.

Jaanchie’s specializes in local Curaçaoan dishes and seafood. The restaurant is also known for its informal service style, including the absence of printed menus. Instead, the owner traditionally visits each table to describe the day’s available dishes and specialties.
