ATLANTA – More than 80,000 people are expected to turn out Saturday for the 131st Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade. The annual family-friendly parade, aimed at celebrating the city’s Irish culture and history, steps off at noon on Saturday (March 16). Flight attendants object to TSA knife policy

ATLANTA – Travelers can soon take “small knives” in their carry-on luggage, under a rule change announced this month by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Atlanta begins installing tracks for new streetcar line

ATLANTA – Crews last week began installing the first track for Atlanta’s new streetcar line, which is slated to open next spring. Workers are expected to install one block of track every three to four weeks, according to city officials. TSA allows small knives in carry on bags

Travelers can now take “small knives” in their carry-on luggage, under a rule change announced this week by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). “This is part of an overall Risk-Based Security approach, which allows Transportation Security Officers to better focus their efforts on finding higher threat items such as explosives,” the agency said in its statement outlining its rationale.
