Georgia officials have unveiled a comprehensive school safety plan that mandates statewide participation in a new student information-sharing and safety database and that penalties those who make terroristic threats.

The Atlanta City Council on Monday unanimously voted to advance legislation that establishes clear protocols for the Office of Inspector General.

Georgia is seeing an “alarming increase in attacks on our court,” but it is “crucial that our courtrooms are secure and those who work within them can perform their duties without fear.”
