Flamingo Wildlife Habitat

Overview

The Flamingo Wildlife Habitat is a four-acre wildlife attraction at the Flamingo Las Vegas, which opened on Dec. 26, 1946, on the Las Vegas Strip. Opened in 1995 as part of a resort expansion, the habitat features landscaped gardens, streams, waterfalls and nine freshwater ponds.

The habitat is home to Chilean flamingos and dozens of other exotic birds, along with turtles and large fish. Its ponds contain about 400,000 gallons of freshwater, and pathways wind through the gardens to provide views of the animals and surrounding landscape.

Admission to the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat is free.

Sightseers’ Delight started publishing in June 2016. The site, published by The DeFeo Groupe, collects and curates content about places where historical events large and small happened. The site builds off the legacy of The Travel Trolley, which launched in June 2009. The site aimed to be a virtual version of the trolley tours offered in so many cities.
