Republicans maintained control of both chambers in the Georgia legislature on Tuesday.
“The Republican-controlled legislature has been a testament to the importance of a last line of defense in the states,” Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) President Dee Duncan said in a statement.
“At a time when Democrats in Washington D.C. are passing a destructive agenda, Georgia Republicans have been pushing back and addressing the border crisis, cutting taxes and passing pro-business policies to cushion the blow of a failing economy,” Duncan added. “The RSLC was proud to have helped Georgia Republicans hold the line in this election. We look forward to their continued success while working with Governor Kemp to pass commonsense policies for all Georgians.”
Georgia was one of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee’s (DLCC) top target states this cycle, categorizing it as a state where they can “make gains and build power.”
