Delta Hotels Dallas Southlake upgrades guest-room locks with no key disruption

SOUTHLAKE, Texas — Delta Hotels Dallas Southlake is upgrading its guest-room door locks to newer technology, according to a notice distributed to guests on Dec. 30.

The hotel said technicians will complete the work from the hallway and will not need to enter rooms while locks are updated.

Guests may hear brief activity outside their doors during the upgrade, but existing room keys will continue to function without interruption, the notice said. In uncommon cases where a physical adjustment is required, staff may contact the guest; rooms displaying “Do Not Disturb” will be noted and approached accordingly.

The hotel directed guests with questions to dial 0 from their in-room phones for assistance. The letter was signed by the hotel’s chief engineer, who thanked guests for their understanding during the work.

The property did not specify how long the upgrade will take or how many rooms are involved, but described the project as part of a broader effort to enhance the guest experience through newer security and access technology.
