Big Green Egg’s EGGtoberfest set for Oct. 4 in Lawrenceville

Big Green Egg will hold its annual EGGtoberfest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

About 200 “Egghead” cooks from around the country will serve live-fire bites prepared on Big Green Egg grills. Organizers describe the event as a mashup of passion and community centered on outdoor cooking.

Proceeds support the Food Bank’s mission to fight hunger by engaging, educating and empowering the community. The nonprofit partners with more than 700 organizations to distribute roughly 10 million meals each month across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

Cook teams will range from home cooks and pitmasters to Michelin-starred chefs and junior competitors. Attendees can expect recipes, tips and techniques alongside a broad sampling of grilled specialties.

The event will be held at Coolray Field, 2500 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase “event Eggs” — demo grills used only once — at an exclusive, discounted price.
