ATLANTA – State Representative Mesha Mainor (R-Atlanta), along with local officials, dignitaries, family, friends and members of Atlanta’s business community, will gather on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 12 p.m. to pay homage and to unveil the Maceo A. Brown Memorial intersection sign. Upon the unveiling, the location will become known as the triangle of the Maceo A. Brown Memorial intersection, where Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, Anderson Avenue and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive come together.
“Growing up in the Mozley Park community, I remember my mother attending Henry McNeal Turner High School with the Brown boys,” said Rep. Mainor. “The extraordinary people from Atlanta’s Westside deserve recognition, and Maceo A. Brown stands out as a magnificent servant leader. I am truly honored to have the opportunity to acknowledge his remarkable contributions on behalf of the great state of Georgia.”
The dedication ceremony will take place at the corner of Anderson Avenue and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, N.W., near the original corporate office of System 5 Electronics, which was located at 1761 Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard for 20 years. This event will honor the life and legacy of Maceo A. Brown, celebrating his leadership, vision, philanthropy and commitment to the community.
