Judge dismisses lawsuit against Georgia election board

A Fulton County judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed against Georgia’s State Election Board.

According to the Georgia Republican Party, Superior Court Judge Thomas A. Cox Jr. dismissed a lawsuit American Oversight filed. Republicans said the group alleged that the elections board violated the state’s transparency laws.

Georgia Democrats have also filed a lawsuit against the elections board over a recent change mandating that county elections officials hand-count how many ballots were cast on Election Day.
