Author Todd DeFeo will sign copies of his new book, a history of the Western & Atlantic Railroad, during a book signing in Acworth. DeFeo will appear from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Aug. 10 at the Acworth Bookstore in Acworth, Georgia. The state of Georgia chartered the Western & Atlantic in 1836 and still owns the railroad, which runs from Atlanta to Chattanooga. DeFeo, the owner of The DeFeo Groupe and editor of Railfanning.org, is also writing a book about the Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville Railroad, which publishes on Oct. 14. ‘Black market tobacco sales create unfair competition’
ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives last week passed a measure aimed at decreasing the sales of so-called “black market” cigarettes and cigars in Georgia. HB 1071, sponsored by state Rep.
