Smyrna approves ‘Restaurant Districts’ policy

SMYRNA, Ga. — Drink up, Smyrna residents.

City council members in Smyrna have approved a new policy allowing diners to carry alcoholic drinks like wine and beer in a to-go cup within designated “Restaurant Districts.”

The ordinance change was approved at the Feb. 19 City Council meeting. Also approved was a resolution designating the downtown Smyrna Market Village area as the first Restaurant District in the city.
