Buckhead Business Association names Kazoo Toys business of the year

ATLANTA — The Buckhead Business Association (BBA) today named Kazoo Toys its Business of the Year award during the group’s Annual Luncheon.

The organization also named Chris Hadermann and John Piemonte of Southern Property Hospitality, a restaurant group founded in 2014 that employs 350 people, as its Entrepreneurs of the Year and bestowed the new Charlie Loudermilk Park with the Buckhead Business Beautification award.

In one final award, the group presented the Sam Massell Bullish on Buckhead award to Tony Conway of Legendary Events. The BBA renamed the award in honor of former Atlanta Mayor Sam Massell.

Jesse Itzler, who founded Marquis Jet in 2001 and is married Sara Blakely, the founder of Buckhead-based Spanx, provided the keynote address at the event, held at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel & Conference Center.

At ths meeting, the Buckhead Business Foundation also gave $1,000, a portion of the proceeds from last year’s Taste of Buckhead event, to the Giving Kitchen.
