ATLANTA — A state senator from Alpharetta will serve as chairman of the Georgia Senate Transportation Committee.
“Georgia’s network of roads, waterways, bridges, railways and runways are some of our state’s most valuable resources,” State Sen. Brandon Beach, R-Alpharetta, said in a news release. “I’m honored Lt. Governor Cagle and my colleagues have entrusted me to chair the Senate Transportation Committee as we begin a new legislative term. Our state’s transportation infrastructure has played a significant role in the success of Georgia’s economy and I look forward to working with my colleagues to pass legislation that will keep Georgia moving in the right direction.”
Beach will also serve as a member of the Senate Economic Development, Higher Education and Science and Technology committees.
