ATLANTA — Speaker of the Georgia House David Ralston, R-Blue Ridge, has appointed Representative John Meadows, R-Calhoun, as co-chair of the High School Athletics Overview Committee.
Meadows fills the unexpired term of former state Rep. Jay Roberts which runs through the end of the 2015-2016 legislative session.
The Southeastern Railway Museum has extended the deadline to March 3 for its fifth annual photo competition. To enter, photographers must submit a photo taken at the museum and in both digital and print format. The museum will exhibit entries during March and will announce competition winners during an April 7 ceremony coinciding with the first day of the museum’s Caboose Days event. Regular museum tickets include admission to the exhibition, and attendees are encouraged
