Hiram jumps to early lead in victory over Denison

Hiram jumped to a 17-0 first quarter lead and never looked back, knocking off visiting Denison 37-26 on Saturday in Hiram, Ohio.

Robert Partridge completed 11 of 30 passes for 259 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Terriers. Kyle Burchett racked up 13 tackles and Kyle Burchett and Andrew Torres each had two interceptions for Hiram.

Denison’s Brandon Sklenar completed 35 of 61 passes for 309 yards and three touchdowns, but also threw six interceptions. Sklenar also ran for 137 yards to lead the Big Red’s ground game.

Hiram (2-0) hosts Allegheny (0-1) next week. Denison (1-1) hosts Wabash (1-0) next week.
