Amtrak Urges Congress to Not Take Northeast Corridor For Granted

The country must stop taking the aging Northeast Corridor (NEC), a national transportation asset, for granted, Amtrak’s president recently told Congress. “We must stop taking this vital infrastructure for granted and start investing in the future of the region and the nation,” Amtrak President and CEO Joe Boardman told a Congressional committee last month. “We have an infrastructure that, while safe, is vulnerable to service disruptions at virtually any time and place.”

In season finale of inaugural season, Berry falls 28-6

In many ways, Berry’s inaugural football season ended much the same way it began. An exuberant crowd of 3,161 turned out to historic Barron Stadium to cheer on the school’s first team to take to the field. Just like that inaugural contest on September 7, Berry fell short, but walked away knowing they have set a foundation for the future.
