ATHENS, Ga. — Maybe it’s the curse of Larry Munson, but the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs fell to No. 8 Alabama tonight by a score of 41-30.
In their first game since the retirement of famed-announcer Larry Munson, the No.3 Georgia Bulldogs went into halftime trailing No. 8 Alabama 31-0. It looked like they might make a comeback in the third quarter, but the Bulldogs were unable to pull within striking distance.
Georgia, who started the season No. 1, dropped to No. 3 despite starting 4-0. The game made headlines this week because Georgia Coach Mark Richt called for a blackout — players wore black jersey and fans wore all black.
No. 1 USC and No. 4 Florida also fell this week — both to unranked opponents.
