Investigators searching for a Winterville woman missing since July 2002 found human remains Monday in the general location where her former boyfriend claimed he buried her body more than two years ago, authorities said.
Authorities could not immediately determine whether the remains were those of Kayla Marie Wills, a 2001 graduate of Madison County High School. The remains will be taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab in Decatur for identification.
